Getting this visa requires both nomination and sponsorship from your employer to fill in positions in Australia. This visa is temporary but after a few years, you can apply for permanent residency.

The TSS Visa consists of three streams, each with its own set of requirements:

  8. Documents for your dependent child/children: If you apply with dependent children above the age of 18, you must submit form 47, proof of their dependency, and identity and character documents.

How Can I Get a Skill Evaluation for Visa 482?

For a temporary skills shortage visa, you must complete the Skill Assessment Program. Depending on the profession you were nominated for, you must undergo a Trades Recognition Australia or VETASSESS skill assessment.

Before applying, you must check with the immigration office to determine if a competence assessment is necessary; if so, you must complete it before applying for the visa. Failing, your application will be rejected.

How much does Visa 482 cost?

A 482 visa is AUD2,700 in price. You must pay AUD1,300 if you’re applying for the short-term stream, though. Remember that any extra family member will incur additional costs.

Can I Change Jobs with a 482 Visa?
